About Visit USA-HealthCare: Standard Plan

Get Visitor Medical Insurance When Visiting the United States
Are you planning a trip to the United States? Maybe you are a parent of a student studying abroad, planning a summer vacation or want to move to the United States. No matter what your reason is, our Visit USA-HealthCare visitor insurance can offer you the coverage you're looking for when visiting the United States. Nationalized or government sponsored health plans rarely provide adequate coverage for visitors for injuries or illnesses that occur in the United States, which is why it’s important to get travel medical insurance.

The Importance of Visitor Health Insurance
Every year, thousands of international visitors and immigrants to the U.S. need emergency medical treatment and do not have the new immigrant insurance or visitor insurance to cover the high costs involved. Most travelers are unaware of how expensive medical care is in the United States. U.S. medical facilities also may not recognize insurance provided by a “foreign” insurance company and could deny services or demand up-front payment for treatment. Visit USA-HealthCare is a beneficial travel medical insurance plan that can provide illness and accident expense protection, and it can pay for treatment during your visit to the U.S.

This coverage for visitors insurance is available for as little as $1.12 per day* for travelers under age 30, and as low as $3.60 per day* for travelers ages 50-59! See our rate chart for more details.

Who qualifies for visitor insurance?

  • Business and leisure travelers
  • Parents of students studying in the U.S.
  • Tourists and holiday travelers
  • Church or missionary travelers to the U.S.

You can choose from two visitors' insurance plans, each offering a choice of four deductibles.

After reviewing the visitor insurance plans, you can quote and buy online, over the phone, by fax or by mail. With any method, you will receive a receipt and Confirmation of Insurance by email.

*Both examples are for travelers electing Plan A ($50,000 per incident), with a $1,000 deductible. Your rates may vary based on age, deductible, and optional buy-up benefits. Please see our rate chart for more information.

Insurance is offered by WorldTrips. International insurance products are underwritten by Lloyd’s. WorldTrips is a service company and a member of the Tokio Marine HCC group of companies. WorldTrips has authority to enter into contracts of insurance on behalf of the Lloyd’s underwriting members of Lloyd’s Syndicate 4141, which is managed by HCC Underwriting Agency Ltd.

Visit USA-HealthCare is also available through certain insurance agents and brokers throughout the U.S.

This visitors' insurance coverage, offered by Tokio Marine-HCC Medical Insurance Services, does not meet the minimum standards required by the health care reform law. The policy above contains the plan benefits, including a lifetime maximum. Please review your choices prior to purchasing to ensure that you have sufficient coverage to meet your medical needs.

You may have to pay for medical care depending on the medical facility being used. If the medical facility requires payment up front, you then submit a claim for reimbursement, less your chosen deductible. While not a guarantee, payments for large expenses such as Emergency Medical Evacuations are typically coordinated and paid by the Insurance Company's Assistance Service.
The deductible is the amount that you, the Insured person, pay before the insurance pays for covered expenses. Visit USA-HealthCare's deductibles are per incident. Once the deductible is met, Visit USA-HealthCare will pay 90% of covered medical expenses up to $10,000, then 100% of reasonable and customary charges up to the plan limit. Visit USA-HealthCare offers a choice of deductibles: $0, $250, $500 or $1000. The lower the deductible, the higher the cost of insurance. In addition to the above choice of deductibles, there is also a $250 Emergency Room deductible which will be waived if admitted to the hospital.
The maximum an Insured would have to pay out-of-pocket for covered expenses is the chosen deductible ($0, $250, $500 or $1000) and 10% of the Reasonable and Customary charges for covered expenses up to $10,000, plus expenses that exceed the plan limit. Co-insurance is waived if expenses are incurred within the PPO Network.
Yes - you may go to any licensed health care provider. However, if you use a doctor or hospital in Visit USA-HealthCare's large preferred provider network, you will pay a lower deductible and co-insurance than if you go outside the network.
