Health Insurance for International Travel

People traveling to foreign countries may require emergency medical treatment, hospitalization or medical evacuation back to their home country. When traveling outside of the United States and your home country, obtaining qualified travelers insurance and medical care may be difficult.

Our InterMedical Insurance plan is international medical insurance designed specifically for people who are traveling outside the U.S. and outside their home country. If you suffer an injury or unexpected illness while on your trip, you can rely on InterMedical travelers insurance to assist you with your covered medical expenses. Major expenses can be paid directly to the medical provider and the evacuation or repatriation transportation service.

The Medical Expense benefit includes coverage for eligible Covid-19-related medical expenses. Testing for Covid-19 will be covered if deemed medically necessary by a physician.

Our quality international medical insurance and medical evacuation insurance starts at $1.35 per day.* Coverage is available for the insured, a spouse, unmarried dependent children, or children traveling alone. You can find your cost for travel health insurance by using the Premium Calculator.

Yes. Our programmers keep our forms on a highly secure ordering environment so you can enroll in our travel insurance plans with confidence. We use Secure Socket Layers (SSL), the industry standard in transferring information to process your orders. The SSL encrypts, or translates, your order information into a highly indecipherable code, which is processed immediately. When you are ready to enroll in one of our plans, you will move into the secure area of our site. A warning window may pop up to notify you that you are entering this "safe" area. Once you've entered, the beginning of the page address (URL) will change from "http" to "https", to let you know you are in a secure area. Also, a key or a closed padlock icon will appear in the lower right corner of most browsers to notify you of this change. You will remain in this secure zone for the entire purchase process.
