Established in 1973, USI Travel Insurance Services (TIS)
is an independent insurance agency/brokerage serving the insurance needs
of the travel community. TIS is headquarted in the San Francisco Bay Area,
California License #OD95561. Our founder, Ralph R. Davis, possessed a uniquely
broad background in both the insurance and travel industries. An innovator,
he assisted in the design of the first comprehensive trip cancellation policy
in North America, and for many years concurrently operated a successful
wholesale tour company. Today, TIS staff members share similarly rich backgrounds.
TIS is a wholly owned subsidiary of the USI Holdings Corporation. Since
USI's inception in 1994, it was built to provide insurance-related financial
services and property and casualty insurance to the middle market. In recent
years, it has acquired companies, like TIS, with strong franchise names
and a specialized area of expertise. In 2004, TIS joined USI to become part
of the ninth largest insurance brokerage firm in the United States and to
increase USI's reach into the affinity marketplace.

TIS has designed revolutionary coverages for travelers, including the first
successful individual visitors travel medical insurance policy for foreign
nationals and temporary residents who would otherwise be medically uninsured
while visiting the United States.
